13.05.2008
Independent hydroelectric plants have, until today, mainly sold the power they have produced to Eesti Energia, which holds a monopoly position. Beginning on 1 May, Baltic Energy Partners OÜ will begin purchasing electricity from the 0.5MW hydroelectric plant belonging to OÜ Koprapere. Based on a more effective operations model, BEP is able to offer more favourable purchasing terms to renewable energy producers and heating and power producers, with the help of its service maximising the income of electricity producers.

“We have searched for choice in the organisation of electricity sales and Baltic Energy Partners offers a very good alternative to Eesti Energia in this area," said OÜ Koprapere managing director Horret Verrev. In the words of the manager of OÜ Koprapere, of help is the fight to continue with the development of new possible renewable energy projects. “We have set an objective of changing the actual brining of opportunities available on the free market to participants. It isn’t enough to just talk about the free market - doers are also necessary," stressed BEP partner Peeter Pikk.

Baltic Energy Partners OÜ is a company based on Estonian private capital, dealing in power and emissions trading and offering consultations services, the objective of which is to offer new types of total solutions on the electricity market at competitive prices.
